Barcelona are looking to make at least one more transfer in the summer transfer window, after Joao Cancelo (29) from Manchester City.
Xavi wants a central midfielder, but the club’s management is set on Joao Felix, a player who has no future at Atletico.
Barcelona insist on transferring Joao Felix
According to Spanish media, the Camp Nou bosses will do everything possible to bring Felix in before the end of the transfer window.
However, this requires Barcelona to sell at least one player so that Felix’s move to Camp Nou can be approved by the FFP (financial fair play) people, and also so that the Portuguese can be registered in La Liga.
To this end, Barcelona are trying to sell an attacking player and Ansu Fati and Ez Abde are the names the Catalans are considering.
Joao Cancelo, transferred by Barcelona from Manchester City
On Monday, journalist Fabrizio Romano announced on Twitter that Barcelona and Manchester City have reached the stage where they are signing the documents to complete the transfer.
Cancelo will be loaned out until the end of the season, and in the end the contract did not include an obligation to buy, but an option, in exchange for €25 million.
